J. F. Kurose and K. W. Ross, Computer Networking – A Top-down Approach, 7th Edition, Pierson Addison-Wesley, 2017.

 

Goals: The objectives of the course are to teach students about computer networks and about solutions developed against network flow, error and congestion control; to teach students to analyze network routing algorithms and to enable students to design network communication protocol.

Prerequisites: None


Topics:

Computer networks, Software Defined Networks (SDN) and internet.

Protocol layers:

· Application layer

· Transport layer

· The network layer

· The link layer

· LANs.
